In the fall of 2020, a new version of the PlayStation Store browser was introduced and digital games for PlayStation 3, PS Vita and PSP were removed from it. However, players could buy such productions directly on the consoles themselves. Recently, there have been reports suggesting that such a possibility will soon run out, and now they have been officially confirmed by Sony.

PlayStation 3 and PSP consoles will lose access to the PS Store on July 2 this year. In the case of PS Vita, it will be a bit later – August 27. There is also good news: users will not lose access to their game library and will still be able to download them from older Sony devices.
It was also announced that the funds available in the PSN wallet will not be lost. You can use them for purchases on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, or apply for a refund if for some reason this option is not interesting for you.
