as part of solidarity with Ukraine, we decided to take Ukrainian PC and console games as wallpapers and encourage you to support their creators 🙂
The Ukrainian gamedev is associated primarily with the Metro series and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Our eastern neighbors, however, are also famous for many other titles, which, although they do not hit the top of the sales lists, provide a lot of first-class entertainment. Polish players have for many years appreciated the productions of GSC Game World, the authors of the cult Cossacks and the aforementioned Stalker. Studio 4A Games is famous for its trilogy about Artema, and Frogwares introduces great adventure games. Of course, these are not all talented developers from across the eastern border. ARCTIC. 1
Few people know that the 4A Games studio, known primarily from the Metro trilogy, also created a VR game. ARKTIKA.1, until the release of Half Life: Alyx, was considered one of the most beautiful and interesting shooters available on virtual reality headsets. The action of the game was set several decades after the next Ice Age, at the beginning of the XXII century. Humanity was forced to settle near the equator without abandoning the exploitation of the rich deposits in the north. And it is the soldier who protects one of the mining colonies in the Arctic that the player plays.
Before S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl hit the market, GSC Game World were known as RTS specialists. In 2000, their first title hit the market – Cossacks: European Buoys. For the next 10 years, fans of the studio were also spoiled with other strategies, including American Conquest (i.e. Cossacks, but in the American realities), Heroes of Annihililated Empires, the second installment of Cossacks and numerous additions to the above-mentioned. production.
In December 2011, the studio was closed, but after 3 years, Ukrainian developers resumed their activities and announced work on the third installment of the Cossacks. The title was warmly received by players, offering a return to the roots of the brand. A characteristic feature of the production is the ability to fight large-scale battles. There may be as many as 10,000 units on the map at any given time.
The Metro series does not need to be introduced to anyone Inspired by post-apocalyptic novels by Dmitry Glukhovsky, the series of first-person shooters shows players a vision of the world after a nuclear catastrophe. The first two editions – Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light are linear FPS, the action of which takes place mainly in claustrophobic tunnels near Moscow. Metro Exodus, on the other hand, opted for a more open gameplay (although it is still not open world), leaving the Russian capital at the same time. The creators have already announced the continuation, but we have not received any details about it yet.
Men of War
The first edition of Men of War was created by the Best Way studio from Ukraine. Developers have already dealt with real-time war strategies, working, inter alia, in over Faces of War and Soldiers: Heroes of World War II, but only Men of War became a world hit. The plot of the game was set in the realities of World War II, and players received a total of 19 missions in three separate campaigns.
The Men of War: Assault Squad sub-series is also quite popular, however, both titles included in the series are supervised by the German studio Digitalmindsoft, so they could not be included in art. presenting Ukrainian games.
Sherlock Holmes series
The series about the adventures of the most famous detective in the world already has 10 titles. The first productions about Sherlock Holmes were point-and-click adventure games, now they are closer to action games. However, the investigation still plays a significant role here. Fans of the hero created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and his inseparable friend Watson can count on many puzzles waiting for them both in Victorian London (top 9 items) and on the fictional Mediterranean island in the latest Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One. Released in 2021, the title is a prequel to the entire story, so you can safely start playing with it, without losing anything.
In March 2007, the greatest and most ambitious work of GSC Game World debuted. S.T.A.L.K.E.R .: Shadow of Chernobyl, because this is the title we are talking about, was ahead of those times, offering extensive gameplay combining elements of many genres. Despite the fact that the developers had to give up many of the announced functionalities, the game eventually achieved considerable commercial success. Soon after the premiere, two separate add-ons were also released, with the subtitles Czyste Niebo and Call of Pripyat. Already in 2010, the continuation of the story was announced, unfortunately in the meantime the studio broke up. Fortunately, the project was not abandoned and after the reactivation of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 returned to wallpaper, although it is difficult to judge when and whether it will be released on the market at all.
Both S.T.A.L.K.E.R .: Shadow of Chernobyl and both expansions continue to enjoy popularity among players, thanks to the incredibly prolific modding scene.
Party Hard 2
Party Hard 2
Contrary to the title, this is not a production about partying 😉 Party Hard 2 is a brutal action game with stealth elements. The title allows you to play the role of a psychopath who decides to take revenge on his bosses and colleagues for not receiving a Christmas bonus. The main goal of the game is to eliminate all characters on the map. However, this cannot be done in an open confrontation, because catching the protagonist red-handed is tantamount to the end of the game. Achieving the goal requires the use of appropriate tactics, the use of traps and weapons appropriate to a given situation.
The Sinking City
The Sinking City is, inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft, an action game with RPG and survival horror elements. The plot presents the events taking place in the 1920s, in the small American town of Oakmont, struggling with a flood caused by supernatural forces. The player controls the character of detective Charles W. Reed, who is faced with the task of discovering the causes of the cataclysm.
During the premiere of The Sinking City, it was not without controversy. According to Frogwares, the title was “stolen” by Nacon and released illegally on Steam. The case eventually went to court, but we have not known the outcome so far.
This Land is My Land
Most Wild West games show the situation from the cowboy’s perspective. This Land is My Land breaks out of the usual pattern, allowing you to play the role of a warrior of one of the indigenous tribes inhabiting the territory of the present United States. The player’s task is to defend the homeland against foreign invaders. The production puts a lot of emphasis on stealth and silent achievement of objectives. Equipped with a bow and melee weapons, the hero has no better chance in an open battle with a better armed opponent. The game offers complete freedom and the world is teeming with life. The other tribes are also fighting the enemy, which means that the situation on the map changes every now and then.
Ultimate General: Civil War
Ultimate General: Civil War is set during the American Civil War, which took place in 1861-1865. Players can take command of the military in over 50 historical bits, from modest skirmishes to massive large-scale skirmishes. As a general, you must lead your units to victory, while caring for the morale of the army and the lives of individual soldiers. During combat, soldiers gain experience, which directly translates into their combat abilities. So the loss of a well-trained unit is extremely painful.
Games from Ukraine – what next?
The war in Ukraine continues to escalate and there are no signs that it will end soon. GSC Game World has recently announced that work on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 have been suspended, posting a rather telling video at the same time. However, the creators did not give up on the project and intend to continue it as soon as the situation calms down. The December release date will probably not be met, but … that’s not the most important thing in this situation.
The situation is similar with the Men of War II announced a few months ago. The latest installment of the RTS series is being developed by the Ukrainian studio Best Way. However, the official website of the game has disappeared from the network in recent days, so it is not known how the future of this production will unfold.
Hunters, have you had the opportunity to play something other than Stalker and Metro? If you know recommendable Ukrainian games that did not appear in the above list, the comments section is yours 🙂
Chernobylite was named the best indie game of 2021 in the recently concluded India of the Year 2021 poll by Indie DB . The production of The Farm 51 studio from Gliwice, kept in the convention of survival horror, defeated, among others The Forgotten City, Solasta: Crown of the Magister, and the popular card game – Inscryption. It is worth mentioning that Chernobylite is not the only representative of the Polish gamedev in the top ten. On the ninth ranked Gamedec , created by Katowice Anshar Studios.
In the expansion of the entry you will find the current promotions on Chernobylite . Thanks to the Epic Coupon, the price of Chernobylite for PC is now extremely attractive. The game can be purchased for £10!
As in previous years, Valve invites players to participate in the Steam Awards 2021 on the occasion of the Winter Sale . Each user registered on the platform has the opportunity to vote for the titles competing for prizes in 10 different categories. The game is played by productions released on Steam in the last 12 months. Votes can be cast on a dedicated store subpage or from the customer’s level. The typing will last until January 3, 6 PM, and the results will be published an hour later. As a reward, players will receive a Winter Sale collector card for each vote they cast.
In the extension of the post, you will find all categories along with a list of nominated titles from which you can choose the best PC games of 2021 on Valve’s platform.
Steam Awards 2021 – Game of the Year
The titles selected for the Game of the Year 2021 award may come as a surprise, but it is worth remembering that the choice was made by the players themselves. On the occasion of the autumn sale, Steam users were given the opportunity to nominate their favorite productions for each of the 10 plebiscite categories. The games that won the most votes went to the finals and we can now choose the best ones from among them. Let’s take a closer look at the five titles fighting for the most valuable trophy.
Created by the small Iron Gate Studio, Valheim is an online survival made of flesh and blood. The action of the game takes place in a world inspired by Norse mythology. The players take on the role of bearded Scandinavian warriors who find themselves in a dangerous land and must survive in it long enough to be honored with hitting Valhalla.
Amazon’s MMORPG evokes mixed emotions, but as you can see, the group of its fans is huge. Otherwise, the title would not beat many other highly rated productions in the fight for the Steam Awards voting finals . The intriguing and interesting world certainly had a great influence on the choice. The land of Aeternum was modeled on the 17th-century colonies in America. The whole thing was enriched with a pinch of magic and … this is how the hit was created, which at its peak gathered over 900,000. people simultaneously in front of the screens.
Cyberpunk 2077 was released a year earlier, but due to the December premiere, it did not take part in the previous poll, so we can vote for it now. The latest production of CD Projekt RED does not need to be introduced to anyone. Some love her, others hate it. Will CP 2077 win Steam Awards 2021 Game of the Year Award? We’ll see!
Resident Evil: Village
Resident Evil 8: Village has won multiple awards this year, including Game of the Year 2021 at the Golden Joystick Awards . At The Game Awards 2021, Capcom’s survival horror had to give way to the great co-op game It Takes Two. Now, however, another chance has come. Valve’s acclaimed RE8: Village continues the story of Ethan and his wife that began in Resident Evil 7 by reapplying the immersion-enhancing view of the hero’s eyes.
Forza Horizon 5
Mexico was chosen as the site of the action of the fifth installment of Forza Horizon. Some smiled at the thought that we finally got right-hand traffic, others groaned in disappointment that they didn’t get the Japan they were waiting for. However, you cannot say a bad word about the new location. Mountains, deserts, sea, jungle, and here and there you can find monuments and pyramids hidden among trees. If only in winter there was a bit more snow… 😉

The Xbox brand looks completely different now than a few years ago. The premiere of the Xbox Seriesturned out to be extremely successful, and the consoles are very popular. After a completely unsuccessful Xbox One marketing campaign, which resulted in a sales flap, Phil Spencer took over the position of brand manager. It is he who is considered to be the father of the success of the new generation. However, it cannot be denied that the main goal of Microsoft is not to sell consoles and games, but to focus the gaming community around the Game Pass service. For this reason, exclusive Xbox Series games are also available on PCs at the same time. Is it wrong? You have to judge for yourself.
As in the last year , we have prepared for you a summary of the most important events in the industry. Hunters, it’s time to check how the Xbox Series consoles were doing in Poland in 2021.
Availability of the Xbox Series – and it was supposed to be so beautiful
The starting price of the Xbox Series X was set at PLN 2,249. The smaller, devoid of drive, Xbox Series S was priced at PLN 1349. Despite many differences, not only in appearance, but above all in the installed components, both devices are to be able to handle all games that will be released in the coming years without any problems.
While there is no major problem with finding XSS on store shelves, and often at a lower price than the premiere price, in the case of XSX it is not so sweet. The story unfolded almost exactly like Sony’s. First, scalpers appeared, trying to sell devices a few hundred zlotys more expensive, and then store kits stuffed with ridge and accessories. From time to time, it was possible to buy the device at the premiere price in the MS Store, but it has not appeared there for a long time. Currently, it is practically impossible to buy a “bare” console for MSRP.
The situation of Xbox One in 2021
Aside from better graphics, faster loading times and improvements in the form of Auto HDR and FPS Boost, owners of Microsoft’s older consoles had no reason to complain. Apart from Microsoft Flight Simulator, none of the big titles missed the console representing the past generation. Next year it will be a bit worse, because both Starfield and STALKER 2 will come exclusively to the Xbox Series X | S. However, this is not yet a reason to ditch the old gene.
Xbox One is not going to die for a long time yet. All thanks to Xbox Cloud Gaming . The possibility of playing in the cloud has recently also been available on consoles. For now, this is primarily a curiosity, but in a year or two, when an increasing number of games will only hit the new generation, this option may turn out to be a real gamechanger. Why? Because you won’t have to replace your worn-out console to keep enjoying your new games. All you need is a good internet connection.
Xbox Game Pass in 2021 – the best subscription for gamers?
At the time of writing this paragraph, Xbox Game Pass has a total of 432 games. Its computer equivalent, recently called PC Game Pass , is slightly smaller and offers 399 items. All this for a fixed monthly fee of PLN 40. But… as you probably well know, there’s also Game Pass Ultimate. It consists of the two services mentioned above, and also includes an Xbox Live Gold subscription, EA Play on consoles and the previously mentioned streaming option. All this for PLN 55 a month, although thanks to numerous promotions and offers, this price can be significantly reduced.
At the beginning of the year, the service enjoyed 18 million active users. At the end of April, there were already 23 million subscribers. What is the situation today? It is not known. A hint may be the statement by the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, Strauss Zelnick, who at the end of October mentioned “about 30 million subscribers”.
Game Pass would not be such a strong point of the program if it were not for Xbox Game Studios. 23 teams, which include, among others 8 Bethesda Softworks teams are constantly working on new games for Xbox consoles and PCs. All of them will be included in the subscription on the day of their premiere. The first effects of the work could be seen at the end of this year, on the occasion of the debut of Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite. If you want to find out what interesting will come to the service in 2022, check out this article .
It is also worth mentioning a small image slip from the beginning of the year. In January, Microsoft announced changes to the price list for Xbox Live Gold. After the negative reception of the news by the gaming community, the raises were quickly withdrawn.
WHERE IS THE CHEAPEST XBOX GAME PASS ULTIMATE?
If you are looking for the best deals to buy a cheap Game Pass Ultimate subscription, take a look at our latest project TaniGamePass, where you will find guides for new, current and returning subscribers.
Backward Compatibility for Xbox Series X | S
Backward compatibility, i.e. the ability to run games from previous generations of consoles, is in part a standard in the industry. However, Xbox is coming out ahead with two tangible improvements. Thanks to them, running older games included in the subscription (and not only) is much more pleasant.
First of all – FPS Boost , i.e. Microsoft’s proprietary technology, responsible for increasing the number of frames per second in selected older games. The list of titles that received support already has nearly 150 items and is still being expanded with new productions. You can find a constantly updated list on the Major Nelson website .
Second – Auto HDR . Special functionality designed for Xbox Series consoles. It works by using artificial intelligence to automatically convert SDR image to HDR. The result is a significant improvement in the quality of the image displayed on the screen. In particular, it is about lighting that has a direct impact on how the colors appear on the display. Both functions can be easily disabled from the console menu.

Starting today, Master Witcher will have a series of Timed tasks for you that will change with the start of every Monster Week. The quests will alternate between new and well-known creatures from the Bestiary. Depending on the type of the monster, the tasks will concern a Class, a Rare, a Legendary, or an all-new creature whose type will remain a mystery until the challenges connected to that particular creature begin.
WERERAT WEEK STARTS NOW
Take part in the hunt and complete your Bestiary with the new monsters – Wererats – entering the game today. The Master Witcher has stepped in with the first series of Timed tasks connected with these strange beasts.
The curse of the Wererat is one long-forgotten. It is always active – not just during the full moon – meaning that most Wererats were born in rat form and have never walked as humans.
Prepare yourself, track down, and challenge Wererats by taking part in Timed tasks!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE UPDATE?
In addition to Monster Weeks and the new “Timed” tab where you’ll find monster quests and event quests, the update introduces an extensive “What’s New” section, where you’ll find all the game’s top news.
A new change has also been introduced to stamp rewards. You will now earn a stamp for killing the first monster of the day. After claiming five stamps, your diligent work will be rewarded with a free Summoning Scroll!
The Weather and Time functionality has also been improved. Now, pressing the weather icon will display a lot more information, such as the exact hour and more.
Patch 11.23 brings sweeping changes to the Rift (literally and figuratively) with the new Chemtech & Hextech Drakes, 6 new items, 24 item updates, 3 changes to runes, and Objective Bounties! Ultimate Spellbook is also back with dozens of new Ult-ernates and a special treat for junglers.
We’re also diving deeper Into the Arcane this week. Continue exploring the story behind Jinx & Vi with new events, thematic updates in-game, secret Council Archives, and interactive content online!
Preseason is our very own kind of Progress Days on the Rift. There are tons of experiments and discoveries to make—innovate your heart out!
Speaking of innovation, TFT’s first balance patch of Gizmos & Gadgets is here. Read all about the change at the TFT patch notes here!
We’re making it harder for Objective Bounties to come online. Losing teams will have to be even further behind for Objective Bounties to activate, which also means Objective Bounties will fall off faster once the losing team starts to catch up.
HEXTECH DRAGON SOUL Fixed a bug where Champion-created clones could proc Hextech Dragon Soul’s chain lightning skill repeatedly, ignoring its cooldown
11/17/2021 Lulu & Caitlyn Bugfixes
DOUBLE HEADSHOTS Fixed a bug where Caitlyn could sometimes fire multiple extended-range Headshots at targets marked by W – Yordle Snap Trap or E – 90 Caliber Net at very high attack speeds
BUGPIX Fixed a bug where Pix would become targetable after Lulu travels through a Hexgate
Cafe Cuties Gwen, Cafe Cuties Soraka, Cafe Cuties Annie, Cafe Cuties Bard, Cafe Cuties Sivir, and Cafe Cuties Vladimir will be available December 2, 2021. Players will be able to earn Arcane Caitlyn starting November 22, 2021 and Arcane Jinx starting November 24, 2021 for a limited time.
INTO THE ARCANE
Every legend has a beginning, and we hope you’re enjoying Arcane’s. But there’s even more to the lore than just the show! Check out all the Arcane-inspired League of Legends content below and in Into the Arcane.
The Council Archives: Can’t get enough of Arcane? Well, don’t worry, because there’s more! Dig into Jayce and Vi’s backstories by checking around the Council Archives in the League client to learn more about the characters.
Ultimate Spellbook: IT’S BACK! The return of this summer’s popular rotating game mode is back with brand new Ult-ernate spells galore, many of which belong to the characters of Arcane. Check out the Ultimate Spellbook section for more details.
League of Legends Avatar Creator: So maybe it’s not enough to know Arcane—maybe you want to be Arcane. You’re in luck: The League of Legends Avatar Creator is now up and running! Head over to the client or on the web to create your avatar to customize, save, and share.
Summoner’s Rift Accents: Arcane has taken over Summoner’s Rift and Howling Abyss! Minions and turrets alike have gotten a makeover for RiotX Arcane. Maybe you’ve also noticed new Arcane-themed loading screens, quotes, and in-game music. These accents will last until December 9, 2021.
Caitlyn ASU: Caitlyn’s also getting a major visual update this patch along with small upgrades for Jayce and Jinx, too. Talk about progress, huh? More details on that way, way below.
Objective Bounties are another way for losing teams to get back into the game, in addition to Champion Bounties. They grant extra gold rewards for taking objectives when a team is far behind, and are designed to be hard to claim—but not impossible! We still want the winning team’s leads to matter, so losing teams will have to capture multiple objectives in order to cash out, because a single bounty won’t pay out very much. We hope that Objective Bounties will allow you to execute big brain strats to equalize the game, rather than having to wait around to capitalize on your opponent’s mistakes.
Objective Bounties activate only when a team is sufficiently behind and objectives that’ll pay out bounties are highlighted on the minimap for both teams. If the losing team takes an objective with an active bounty, each of its members will receive Objective Bounty gold.
Objective Bounties are calculated in the background based on four factors: XP lead, Gold lead, Dragon lead, and Turret lead. When they activate, each objective available to the team that’s behind gains a bounty. Bounties start at the following, split evenly amongst all five team members.
As the losing team falls farther behind, these base amounts can increase up to an additional 60%. The exact bounty for each reward will be visible under the losing team’s objective icons in the tab-menu.
Blue team is behind; the additional gold they’ll get for taking an objective is listed below each objective’s icon
Objective Bounties activate 15 seconds after a team falls below the threshold and deactivate 15 seconds after they rise above it. This deactivation timer extends if the losing team remains in combat with an objective that has an active bounty.
We’re introducing two new dragons to Summoner’s Rift, complete with new buffs, souls, and terrain effects. The selection rate of Chemtech Rift and Hextech Rift terrains will be temporarily doubled during patch 11.23 only so you can try out the new map changes and dragon souls more frequently during preseason.
Chemtech Drake is all about playing on the edge, taking calculated risks, and fighting for every scrap. The Chemtech Dragon Soul encourages you to go big or go home, and trade your life for high value plays.
CHEMTECH DRAKE BUFF Grants up to 5% bonus damage per stack against enemies with 340-1020 (your level 1-18) more current health than youCHEMTECH DRAGON SOUL When a team obtains the Chemtech Dragon Soul, they receive a buff that grants them a brief second life upon their next death. Champions revive with 80% of their base health + 50% of their bonus health and gain 75/30% (melee/ranged) decaying Move Speed. Revived champions take 40% less damage, deal 33% less damage, and take damage equal to an ever-increasing percent of their starting health every 0.25 secondsYou might notice that Chemtech Soul is similar to the Ruined Drake buff from Ultimate Spellbook this summer, and it is!CHEMTECH RIFT Gas zones emerge in four jungle locations that camouflage any champion within it. Champions within the zone deal up to 10% more damage to enemies who have more current health than them. Maximum damage is achieved when at 340-1020 (based on the attacker’s level) less health than themCAMOUFLAGE Camouflaged enemies are not revealed by regular vision wards, but are revealed by Control Wards, Scryer’s Blooms, and effects that reveal invisible units. They’re also revealed while you’re standing near them
Hextech Drake is all about controlling the map, flanking your foes, and trapping the enemy team for a wombo combo. The Hextech Dragon Soul grants a unique lightning that slows down enemies, allowing you to control teamfights and chase down stragglers.
HEXTECH DRAKE BUFF Grants 5 Ability Haste and 5% attack speed per stackHEXTECH DRAGON SOUL When a team obtains the Hextech Drake Soul, they gain a chain lightning slow on their next basic attack or ability that deals 25-75 true damage (based on champion level 1-18), bounces to 3 additional targets, and slows units hit by 45/35% (melee/ranged) (+5% per 1000 bonus health, +1% per 100 AP, +3% per 100 bonus AD) for 2 seconds (8 second cooldown)HEXTECH RIFT Pairs of Hex-gates appear across the map which allow champions to quickly travel from one location to its paired counterpart. Hex-gates are activated with a brief channel that can be interrupted by immobilizes or damage. Each pair of Hex-gates has a 30 second individual cooldown per champion
The Cloud Drake buff wasn’t getting much love this year, despite being very powerful. It was hard to tune because it needed to give a lot of ultimate Ability Haste to be a powerful reward, but not so powerful that it’d completely warp the game. So we’re making some adjustments. Run like the wind! (Cloud Dragon Soul and Cloud Rift are unchanged.)
The first Rift Scuttler spawn has been too impactful in deciding the outcome of the early game, so we’re reducing its importance with lessened XP. Now that it’s squishier (and tinier), you can defeat it more easily and scuttle back to safety sooner.
BABY BUG The first Rift Scuttler will now have 35% reduced health, grants 80% reduced XP, and has been slightly reduced in size to match its lower value. (Note: The 80% reduced XP does not impact the bonus XP granted by the Huntsman passive on jungle starter items.)
We’re adding some new items for mages, tanks, bruisers, and assassins, who have all been lacking meaningful options since the item system update last preseason.
Mages have often felt at the mercy of their bursty foes with little else to do but hide on the far side of teamfights or hope their Stopwatch is enough to survive. This new Mythic lets them sacrifice some early damage for the chance to live longer—especially in the early game, when a completed Zhonya’s may not be a good option.

Tanky supports felt pigeonholed into one Mythic (Locket of the Iron Solari) which was a purely defensive tool. We’re adding another Mythic for those who want to focus more on engaging offensively instead of relying on Locket’s anti-burst.

Prior to the Youmuu’s Ghostblade buffs in patch 11.17, there weren’t many options for assassins to pick up Ability Haste. Axiom Arc is a new Legendary item designed to be the Ability Haste pick-up while also allowing ability-focused assassins to snowball a lead.

The shield is increased by 80% if more than one enemy is nearby
Tank Mythics sort of feel like reskins of each other right now, and the choices aren’t very cool or satisfying—just a bunch of different ways to burn people. These updates should create more distinction while still giving you the durability you need to succeed. We also gave the tank Mythic passives a bit more health so your stats progress better throughout the game.
Tank Legendaries had a different issue where the MR options felt really light aside from Spirit Visage, so we’re heightening the fantasies of other choices like Force of Nature and Abyssal Mask.
Immolate was meant to help with waveclear but would instead often throw off your CSing because your own minions would steal the last hits. We’re adding a small QoL helper to help you miss fewer of them. This update takes effect on all items that have the passive.
UPDATEDIMMOLATE (PASSIVE) Now also executes minions that would be killed by one more tick of Immolate
In order to differentiate the Immolate tank Mythics, we’ve shifted some of Frostfire’s power into its “signature” effect—the Snowbind AoE passive. This chunky hit should make chasing down and debilitating enemies much more satisfying. Caution: Icy surface ahead!
UPDATEDSNOWBIND (PASSIVE) Basic attacks a create frost field that slows enemies. ⇒ Basic attacks create a frost field for 1.5 seconds that deals 20-100 (+0.5% max health) magic damage to all enemies in the area. Enemies that move across the field are slowed (slow rate and cooldowns unchanged)IMMOLATE (PASSIVE) UnchangedMYTHIC PASSIVE Unchanged
Turbo Chemtank’s Immolate effect often felt more like a requirement for jungle clear rather than an interesting passive. We’re shifting the item’s power into one big explosion, which should make it the go-to option for gankers and initiators that just gotta go fast.
SUPERCHARGED (ACTIVE) UnchangedNEWREFUEL (PASSIVE) Moving and dealing damage fills up the Chemtank. At 100 stacks, your next basic attack deals 40-120 (+1% max health, +3% Move Speed) magic damage to all nearby enemies (increased by 25% against minions and 175% against jungle monsters).REMOVEDIMMOLATE (PASSIVE) Deals magic damage to nearby enemies upon taking or dealing damageUPDATEDMYTHIC PASSIVE Empowers each of your other Legendary items with 5 Ability Haste and 50 health
Sunfire Aegis is the most expensive tank Mythic, yet its stats are a bit underwhelming. We’re buffing up its durability to match its cost.

Last season’s Abyssal Mask was powerful for champs who could use its Immobilize effect, and pretty much those champs only. We’ve reshaped it to be more of a hybrid offense/defense tool that shines against magic damage comps or large teamfights. It should also be an exciting choice for some AP bruisers and battlemages!
TOTAL COST 2700 (unchanged)BUILD PATH Giant’s Belt + Negatron Cloak + 900 gold ⇒ Kindlegem + Spectre’s Cowl + 650 goldHEALTH 400 ⇒ 450NEWABILITY HASTE 10MAGIC RESIST 60 ⇒ 30UPDATEDUNMAKE (PASSIVE) Immobilizing enemy champions increases the damage they take by 15% for 5 seconds ⇒ Curse nearby enemy champions, reducing their magic resist by 5 + 1% bonus health (max 20). For each cursed enemy, gain 7 magic resist
Force of Nature was meant to fill the void Adaptive Helm left behind, but its value straddles between stacking resistances and movement speed. We’ve condensed and buffed its effects a bit; it should now be the go-to option when facing heavy magic damage comps or high-DPS mages like Ryze or Cassiopeia.
HEALTH 350 (unchanged)MAGIC RESIST 60 ⇒ 70MOVE SPEED 5% (unchanged)UPDATEDABSORB Taking ability damage grants bonus Move Speed and magic resist, stacking up to 5 times. Each unique ability gives 1 stack ⇒ Taking magic damage from enemy champions grants a stack of Steadfast (max 6) for 5 seconds. Enemy immobilizing effects grant an additional 2 stacksNEWDISSIPATE While at 6 stacks of Steadfast, take 20% reduced magic damage and gain 10% increased Move Speed
Knight’s Vow was unpopular despite being powerful all year. We’ve returned the ally heal so that Pledge feels more like a mutual partnership rather than a selfless sacrifice. We’ve also sharpened the damage reduction to work better against burst damage, and removed the movement speed boost.
HEALTH 400 (unchanged)BASE HEALTH REGEN 300% ⇒ 150%ABILITY HASTE 10 (unchanged)PLEDGE (ACTIVE) UnchangedUPDATEDSACRIFICE (PASSIVE) While your Worthy ally is nearby and you are above 30% of your maximum health, redirect 15% of the damage they take to you. If they have less than 30% health, redirect 20% of damage they take to you instead
We’re dropping the price of Aegis to make it more accessible in tank builds, especially for supports. Sunfire Aegis and Locket of the Iron Solari are still strong, so their total costs are unchanged. Gargoyle Stoneplate is relatively weak compared to others though, so it’s inheriting the discount.
Mage item choices have been pretty limited this season, especially for AP bruisers and some battlemages. We’re making a few options less generic but otherwise opening up items to appeal to all AP users.
We want to offer a cheaper tier of Mythics for AP mana users who don’t need “luxury” damage options right away, so we’re bringing Everfrost’s price down to match the new mage Mythic, Crown of the Shattered Queen. This way, mana users can opt into cheaper items if they need an earlier spike.
TOTAL COST 3200 gold ⇒ 2800 goldBUILD PATH Kindlegem + Lost Chapter + Blasting Wand + 250 gold ⇒ Kindlegem + Lost Chapter + Amplifying Tome + 265 goldABILITY POWER 80 ⇒ 70HEALTH 250 (unchanged)MANA 600 (unchanged)ABILITY HASTE 20 (unchanged)GLACIATE (ACTIVE) UnchangedUPDATEDMYTHIC PASSIVE Grants all other Legendary items 15 ability power ⇒ 10 ability power
Demonic Embrace should be a core item for AP bruisers, battlemages, and tanks who want more damage. It wasn’t fulfilling that role very well, so we’re removing its stacking resistance, boosting it for melees, and giving it a new passive that will make those tanky AP builds shine.
ABILITY POWER 70 ⇒ 60HEALTH 350 ⇒ 450UPDATEDAZAKANA GAZE (PASSIVE) Dealing ability damage burns enemies for (2% for melee / 1.2% for ranged) max health magic damage every second for 4 seconds. Archangel’s and Seraph’s were basically just big powerful sticks of AP and mana this year. We’re pushing them to better fit spell-slinging battlemage and bruiser playstyles.

Cosmic Drive was strong throughout the season… but not very exciting. We’re amping up the fantasy of this move-fast-cast-fast item and making its passive available way sooner.
TOTAL COST 3000 gold (unchanged)BUILD PATH Fiendish Codex + Kindlegem + Ruby Crystal + 865 gold ⇒ Fiendish Codex + Aether Wisp + Ruby Crystal + 850 goldABILITY POWER 80 ⇒ 75HEALTH 200 ⇒ 250ABILITY HASTE 20 ⇒ 30NEWMOVE SPEED 5%UPDATEDSPELLDANCE (PASSIVE) If you have at least 160 ability power, gain 20 Ability Haste and 20 bonus Move Speed ⇒ Damaging a champion with 3 separate attacks or spells grants 20% Move Speed (decaying to 10%) and 40 ability power until leaving combat
Horizon Focus was a pretty niche, glass-cannon item that essentially gave long-range mages a lot of bonus damage. We’re broadening its use case so that more champs feel happy picking it up.
TOTAL COST 3000 gold (unchanged)BUILD PATH Hextech Alternator + Needlessly Large Rod + 700g ⇒ Hextech Alternator + Fiendish Codex + 1050 goldABILITY POWER 115 ⇒ 85NEWHEALTH 150NEWABILITY HASTE 15UPDATEDHYPERSHOT (PASSIVE) Now also applies Hypershot to slowed enemy champions
Void Staff was a very powerful but generic purchase for amping up your AP and melting through MR. We’re shifting some of its power to its magic penetration so it’s not a one-stop-shop for mages who buy it.
We’re adding an incentive to Doran’s Ring for champions who want to get aggressive in lane. We still want champions to have access to mana in tough matchups, so we’re keeping the base mana regeneration relatively high—now there’s just a bonus treat for dueling.
FOCUS (PASSIVE) UnchangedUPDATEDDRAIN (PASSIVE) Killing a unit restores 6 mana. If you can’t gain mana, restore 3 health instead ⇒ Restore 0.75 mana every second. Damaging an enemy champion increases this amount to 1.25 mana every second for 10 seconds. If you can’t gain mana, restore 50% of the value as health instead
Hextech Alternator was one of many AP damage items that were a bit too glass cannon-y. We’re trading some of its AP for durability. This change affects Horizon Focus and the next three items, all of which build from Hextech Alternator.
TOTAL COST 1050 gold (unchanged)BUILD PATH Amplifying Tome + Amplifying Tome + 180 gold ⇒ Amplifying Tome + Ruby Crystal + 215 goldABILITY POWER 40 ⇒ 25NEWHEALTH 150REVVED (PASSIVE) Unchanged
While assassins were strong, their Mythics felt lackluster. Many assassins were opting into Mythics like Goredrinker or Stridebreaker, and some rushed Legendaries like Youmuu’s before their Mythic. We’re not opposed to flexing into unique builds, but building a Lethality Mythic first was almost always the weaker option. We’re reducing the gap between Mythics and Youmuu’s for melee Lethality users, while ranged Lethality users should be relatively unaffected.
First Strike is a new Inspiration keystone that gives you a huge damage and gold boost when you strike an enemy champion first, but nothing if they hit you first. It’s been great for artillery champions and assassins during playtests, and we’re excited to see you experiment with it! You can read more details behind its design here.
FIRST STRIKE (PASSIVE) Basic attacks or abilities against an enemy champion within 0.25 seconds of entering champion combat grants 5 gold and First Strike for 3 seconds, causing you to deal 10% extra damage against champions, and granting 100% (70% for ranged champions) of bonus damage dealt as gold. 25-15 second cooldown (levels 1-18)NOT SECOND STRIKE If an enemy strikes you first, First Strike still goes on cooldown without providing any of its bonuses. (Unlike Banshee’s Veil, subsequent damage won’t keep restarting the cooldown)
With the introduction of First Strike, it’s also time we say goodbye to Prototype: Omnistone, a keystone that never really found a place in most players’ hearts. Its rules were too complex, and tinkering with it risked making it even harder to master. This left us in a tough spot where we couldn’t safely buff it because of its potential to warp gameplay in ways we weren’t comfortable with.

Some champions were using Glacial Augment’s Freeze Ray to CC enemies before casting skillshots to guarantee a wombo combo, which—though clever—wasn’t the intended design. This updated version should appeal to tanks and some enchanters without removing skill expression. We think it’ll be particularly useful to defend allies or amplify huge engages.
UPDATEDGLACIAL AUGMENT (PASSIVE) Basic attacks on-hit periodically slow enemy champions ⇒ Immobilizing an enemy champion will cause 3 glacial rays to emanate from them towards you and other nearby champions, creating frozen lines for a few seconds that slow enemies for 35% (+5% per 10% heal and shield power) (+2% per 100 AP) (+2% per 100 bonus AD) and reduce their damage by 15% against your allies (not including yourself). The keystones available for marksmen felt a little flat. Hail of Blades offered a burst of instant attack speed, Lethal Tempo a delayed burst of attack speed, and Press the Attack a delayed burst of damage. Lethal Tempo stood out as the least popular of the bunch despite having a similar win rate. This meant it was either more niche, less satisfying, or both. We’re clarifying Lethal Tempo’s identity as the best ramping option for long term value and adding attack range to make it more unique.
REMOVEDLETHAL TEMPO (PASSIVE) After 1.5 seconds upon damaging an enemy champion, you gain bonus attack speed and your attack speed cap is increased for 3 seconds. Ultimate Spellbook is back—with a twist! (If you need a refresher, the original rules can be found here.)
We’ve added several new ultimates to the pool of Ult-ernate Summoner Spells, champion select bans, a new auto-smite feature for junglers, and special interactions with the new Chemtech and Hextech Drakes! Ultimate Spellbook will incorporate all of preseason’s content upon release (except for Objective Bounties) and will be available from November 18, 2021 to January 10, 2022.
New Ult-ernate Summoner Spells
Removed Ult-ernate Summoner Spells
Ult-ernate Summoner Spell Balance Adjustments
As a catch-all note, any changes that have been made to champion ults since patch 11.14 (the last run of Ultimate Spellbook) have also been applied to their Ult-ernate versions in this mode. The only exception is the following bonus Ability Haste reduction on Ashe’s R.
R BONUS ABILITY HASTE 35 ⇒ 20
Jungle mains around the world, rejoice! We’re introducing a special feature called Auto-Smite so that junglers can still pick a Summoner Spell other than Smite in this mode.
Junglers will be locked into taking Auto-Smite instead of a Placeholder Ult-ernate Summoner Spell during champ select. Auto-Smite gets replaced by the Ult-ernate that you select at the beginning of the game, granting you a buff that is also called Auto-Smite.
AUTO-SMITE BUFF When fighting Epic Monsters, Rift Scuttlers, or Allied Buff Monsters, Auto-Smite automatically executes the monster once it reaches the threshold health at which a regular Smite would last-hit them
We’re also introducing a new jungle starter item called Obsidian Edge that will only be available on Ultimate Spellbook. It has the same stats as the other two jungle items, but with a different completion criteria just for Auto-Smite and without Chilling or Challenging Smite’s effects against champs (since you can’t Auto-Smite a champion).
OBSIDIAN EDGE – STATS & EFFECTS Grants the same stats as Hailblade and Emberknife, except for…OBSIDIAN EDGE – AUTO PATH (PASSIVE) Triggering Auto-Smite 5 times consumes this item, granting all of the item’s effects permanently as well as increasing Auto-Smite’s threshold and damage to 900
Lastly, Ivern’s Auto-Smite works a little differently because, well, Ivern.
BE FREE, MY FRIEND When Ivern takes Auto-Smite, he will not be able to use it to bypass Passive – Friend of the Forest‘s grove maturation timer. However, freeing a qualifying jungle camp (Epic Monsters, Rift Scuttlers, or Allied Buff Monsters) will trigger Auto-Smite, granting him the heal and jungle starter item stack that a regular Smite would
Dragons & Terrain
The only dragons that will spawn in this mode are the new Hextech and Chemtech Drakes! Any time your team slays one of these dragons in Ultimate Spellbook, your team will also gain a stack of the Echoes of Ruination buff.
ECHOES OF RUINATION Your attacks against enemy turrets apply Echoes of Ruination, dealing 0.3% of the turret’s health as damage per second
CAITLYN, JAYCE, & JINX UPDATES
In order to streamline Caitlyn’s future visuals, skins, and overall development, we’ve given the Sheriff of Piltover an Art and Sustainability Update (ASU)! In-game models, voiceovers (VO), sound effects (SFX), and visual effects (VFX) for Caitlyn and eight of her skins have been modernized. All of her splashes have also been updated, and some have been completely redone.
Jayce and Jinx have also been modernized for clarity and thematic purposes.
During this ASU, Caitlyn’s Headshots were re-coded as empowered attacks rather than abilities. This removed several cases where Caitlyn was able to Headshot while her basic attack was on cooldown since Headshots now use her basic attack timer. We’re monitoring Caitlyn’s performance—especially at high skill levels—to ensure this doesn’t unintentionally nerf her.
The following changes apply to Base, Arcade, Prestige Arcade, Headhunter, Lunar Wraith, Officer, Pool Party, and Safari Caitlyn, except for the new VO. VFXs, SFXs, splash arts, and in-game models for these skins have been updated to varying degrees.

UPCOMING SKINS & CHROMAS
The following skins will be released in this patch:
On October 5, 2021, Microsoft will release its latest operating system, Windows 11. Microsoft has revealed that Windows 11 will be released in phases over the coming months, and all eligible devices should be offered a free upgrade to Windows 11 by mid-2022. In this article, we’ll cover how Shadow is preparing for Windows 11 and what to expect.
Shadow will continue to run Windows 10 for the time being
We’ll use this time to monitor how Windows 11 performs and make sure all major bugs and issues have been resolved to ensure your experience is not impacted by this transition.
Users will not be able to update Shadow to Windows 11 for the foreseeable future
We’ll notify our users via email when Windows 11 is fully optimized and compatible with Shadow
Q: Can I update my Shadow to Windows 11?
At this time, it is not possible to update your Shadow to Windows 11. Our teams are still hard at work running tests, and we will let you know when it will be possible to update your Shadow to Windows 11.
Q: Will Shadow come with Windows 11 by default after the Windows 11 release?
Shadow’s default operating system will remain Windows 10 for now. Key developments and tests are still ongoing to ensure a smooth transition to Windows 11. All users will be notified and updated simultaneously to Windows 11 when ready.
Q: Can I use the Shadow Windows 10 app if my local PC is running on Windows 11?
Yes, you may upgrade your local machine to Windows 11 and use Shadow. However, we recommend waiting to ensure all issues and bugs are resolved in the new operating system to enjoy Shadow in an optimal setting.
Q: Will I receive technical assistance from Shadow if I upgrade my Shadow to Windows 11?
We will not provide official assistance to Windows 11 issues because we do not support it at this time. As noted on our device requirements, Shadow supports and recommends the Windows 10 operating system. In general, we recommend you reach out directly to Microsoft for any Windows-related issues.
Q: Will Shadow be able to run properly on Windows 11 in the future?
Our early tests indicate that Shadow will run at an optimal level on Windows 11. We will notify you when this is possible.

Star Citizen. You will test the most expensive game in the world for free.
Not for everyone, but if you are into Space Sim games, you can try Star Citizen for free. Remember that this is an alpha game, so it has a lot of bugs working on it for 10 years, but don’t get discouraged because the game is sure to be a lot of fun. If you choose to spend cash on a game pack, use the code STAR-YLQ5-RN4D and get 5,000 in-game credits (which can be used to purchase items)
Whether this is your first time or merely your first time in forever, come with us as we crack open the Warcraft III editor and run through the fundamentals of map creation. By the end of this article, you should…
know about all the editor’s primary Modules;
be able to use the Terrain Editor to lay out a basic map;
have a basic understanding of how to adjust Unit Properties; and
know how to create a Custom Game and share your map with your friends.
Part 1: Orientation
If you already have Warcraft III installed, launch the editor from the game’s tab in the Blizzard app.
Before we get started, we might want to do some housekeeping.
Adjust the camera clipping plane. If you see your screen going black as you zoom out, that’s the clipping plane cutting off your camera. Hold CTRL and scroll down with your mousewheel to adjust the clipping plane.
Adjust default sound volumes. If you’re using headphones, you may want to dial the editor volume down by going into File -> Preferences and then to the Sound tab.
Adjust interface colors. While we’re in the preferences, you can also personalize some parts of the UI coloring scheme in the Visual and Text Colors tabs to improve accessibility.
The major toolsets of the Warcraft III editor are accessible via the Module menu. They are:
Terrain Editor: Modify map geometry, place units and doodads, define regions.
Trigger Editor: Manage map scripts as well as custom events and triggers.
Sound Editor: Export/import sounds and music and manage audio assets.
Object Editor: Handles in-game units, abilities, buildings, and lets you create custom units.
Other things the editor does that we won’t be talking about here include:
AI Editor: Lets you customize artificial intelligence (AI) settings for maps and campaigns.
Object Manager: Manages everything in your map: units, scripts, audio, cameras, all the things.
Asset Manager: Imports/exports custom assets such as icons, models, sounds, etc.
Part 2: Amateur Hour
Let’s make a very simple two player melee map.
Creating a new map: In the File menu, select New Map, and let’s leave all settings at their default values for now.
Terrain: Let’s modify the terrain by adding cliffs. In the Terrain Palette, make sure “Apply Cliff” is enabled and “Decrease One” is selected. Draw a trench right down the middle of the map.
Starting Locations: Next, switch to the Unit Palette. Select the “Start Location” unit and place it where you want player 1 to start, then switch the selected player to Player 2 and place another Start Location.
Map Settings: In the Scenario menu, select Player Options and make sure both players 1 and 2 are enabled to make this a two-player map.
Click “Test Map” in the toolbar to launch your map in Warcraft III. You’ll start with a Town Hall and several Peon-type units, but not much else. Let’s make this map more interesting. Every melee map should have a gold mine and some trees near each player’s starting location.
Adding Trees: Switch from the Unit Palette to the Doodad Palette and select Summer Tree Wall from the list of doodads. Now, click on the map to paint some happy little trees. You can adjust your brush size and shape in the palette.
Adding a Gold Mine: Go back to the Units Palette, select Neutral Passive, and place two gold mines. Change from placement mode to select mode by clicking “Selection Brush” in the toolbar or pressing space bar and double-click the gold mines to adjust gold amounts and other properties, then test the map again.
Look at them go! Now, having only one Waygate seems a bit unfair, so go ahead and add a second Waygate connected to another exit region.
Part 3: “Hey, do you have a minute to help me test something?”
Now it’s time to invite one of your friends (or a random internet stranger) to check out your creation.
Saving the Map: First, you must save this map somewhere the game can find it; in Windows, that’s in your “Documents” folder at: Documents\Warcraft III\Maps
Creating a Custom Game: Select Custom Games from the game’s start menu. Click “Create”, give your custom game a name, then scroll down the list of maps until you find yours. Click “Create” (different button, same label) to create the lobby for this game.
Add Friends: If any of your friends are online, you can invite them to open slots in the lobby by clicking on the slot and selecting “Invite to Game”. Otherwise, you can leave the slot open and click “START GAME” to let Battle.net find a match for you, or add a computer opponent.
Melee Map Tips
To help you get started, here are some tips and best practices for creating fun and fair melee maps.
Spacing matters. There needs to be enough space between each player’s starting location and the nearest Gold Mine, but there are many more instances where spacing is important. Provide enough room for ground units to move across the map without getting stuck, and try to be mindful where your map’s chokepoints are going to be.
Pick the right size. Select a map size that’s appropriate for the map’s maximum number of players. Creating a huge map for two players can make for awkward matches, and cramming a large number of players into a tiny map leads to chaos that isn’t always fun for everyone.
Think about symmetry. Good melee maps should be fair to each player, meaning no starting location should have an inherent advantage over any other starting location. This also goes back to the point about spacing; giving one player lots of natural fortifications while leaving another player’s base exposed is not going to play well.
Do include Neutral Buildings. There are a lot of neutral buildings like the Goblin Merchant or the Tavern that add a lot of strategic depth to any map they’re on. Think about which neutral buildings fit your map, but as mentioned above, be fair about where you place them.
By now, you should know how to make a very simple map in the Warcraft III editor and how to play that map with your friends. But that’s only scratching the surface of what the Warcraft III editor can do. You can create custom game types to play with your friends, cinematics, you can use scripts to create dynamic single-player maps and even entire campaigns, you can even import custom assets to completely change the look and feel of the content you create. Let’s go and build something!
From now on and with the mode, they will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the duty on duty, as the first week of the client: access on November 18, November 18 at 10:00. Call of Duguard MP Free Access will have access to the mainline options on Launch Day 5 and Launch Day, which will be maintained, including a new roster, new, new modes and more. Players can join the Call of Duty: Vanguard Presence, and if they choose to purchase the full game, all items can be completed with game participation. What’s different in WoW Classic Season of Mastery?
As with the first release of WoW Classic, we’re planning six content release phases. In WoW Classic Season of Mastery, however, phase unlocks will happen faster. We’re planning for a 12-month cadence, with phases unlocking roughly every couple months. Here’s the current outline for the six phases:
Phase 1 (WoW Classic Season of Mastery Launch)
PvP Honor System and Battlegrounds (up from Phases 3 and 4)
Darkmoon deck drops begin
Ahn’Qiraj War Effort begins
Ahn’Qiraj raids open as the war effort dictates
For more details on Season of Mastery updates, read the patch notes.
You are now able to create additional characters up to a maximum of 50 characters in each of our three games:
Up to 50 characters total in World of Warcraft Classic (includes Season of Mastery)
Up to 50 characters in Burning Crusade Classic
Up to 50 characters in World of Warcraft and World of Warcraft: Shadowlands
Characters that were created for the WoW Classic Season of Mastery Open Beta will not be available to use in WoW Classic Season of Mastery.
To create a character and play WoW Classic Season of Mastery, you will need to download and install the client first.
Open the Battle.net desktop app and select World of Warcraft in the game selection menu.
Select World of Warcraft Classic. If you have more than one World of Warcraft account, you’ll see a second dropdown for Account. In that column, select the active account you want to play on.
Click the Install button. You’ll see an installation progress bar that will show you when the installation is available to play.
Once the installation is complete, click the Play button.
You’ll need to select the Season of Mastery realm you want to play on which will be identified in the Realm list. Then select Create New Character. You’ll be able to choose your faction, class, and race, as well as fully customize your new character and name them. If you change your mind about a character and have already reserved one, you will need to delete the one you made. Please note, the name associated with the character you deleted will be immediately available again to be claimed.
Before you put your plans too firmly in place, we encourage you to gather your allies together to select your new home realm. If you’re looking to reconnect with your old friends and guildmates, be sure to check out our Classic Connections forum.
Once you’ve created your new character, all that will be left is to synchronize your chronometer with your friends and allies and prepare for your world (of Warcraft) domination. We’ll see you in Azeroth!

The next World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Content Update is just around the corner. Watch an exclusive developer preview of the latest chapter in the WoW saga.
Get Ready for Eternity’s End
Zovaal, the elusive Jailer and ruler of the Maw in the Shadowlands, has made his next move—and with it, he threatens to rewrite the rules of reality. In Eternity’s End, you’ll face him, and perhaps save Azeroth and the Shadowlands from a fate worse than death. Eternity’s End features include:
New Zone: Zereth Mortis
Zereth Mortis was created by the First Ones, and it’s intended to create afterlives. Its denizens—the automa—have created all that exists in the Shadowlands, Azeroth, and realms beyond. It is a strange, alien location that defies all concepts of reality or physics. The Jailer intends to use Zereth Mortis’ power to reshape everything according to his design.
Meet The Enlightened
The Enlightened are brokers that arrived on Zereth Mortis a long time ago. They no longer see their world in a transactional manner, but instead they treat their dwelling as a sacred place, and hope to answer to a higher calling—the pursuit of knowledge. Find common ground with The Enlightened to succeed and defend Zereth Mortis.
Decode the Cypher of the First Ones
The automa of Zereth Mortis speak in a musical language that is incomprehensible to mortal races. Team up with a curious automa sidekick in this new progression system to learn the lost language of the Progenitors and delve deeper into the secrets of Zereth Mortis, unlocking an array of new zone activities, daily quests, events, and rewards.
New Raid: Sepulcher of the First Ones
Deep in the Sepulcher of the First Ones lies the key to unlock the Jailer’s plans. Gather the power of the First Ones as you pursue Zovaal into the Sepulcher and fight through his forces—but first, you must face Anduin, and discover a way to resist the Jailer’s terrifying Domination magic.
Class Tier Sets Return
Harness the power of the First Ones by collecting distinctive class armor sets via raids, PvP, or Mythic+ dungeons. Each set comes with powerful 2- and 4-piece set bonuses that complement your unique abilities.
Other features in Eternity’s End
Mythic+ and PvP Season 3
Tazavesh added to the Mythic Keystone Dungeon rotation
Note: Tazavesh will be split into two separate dungeons for Seasonal content.
New Mounts and Pets
Updates to Professions and Conduits
New dancing mini-game at the Darkmoon Faire

Our new Drops campaigns are a new and fun way to get in-game loot by watching your favorite channels on Twitch! If the channel is participating in a new Drops system campaign, you will see a message at the top of chat about the Drop campaign and how to earn rewards.
Mission-based Drops are unlocked when the streamer achieves a specific milestone in the game. If the game developer has activated Mission-based Drops, you need to link your Twitch account with your game account to be eligible to participate. Once a Drops mission is accomplished by the streamer you will have the opportunity to claim and receive in-game rewards. Drops missions are customized by the game developer, so every Drops program will be a little different, depending on the game. The developer will decide what the item is, how frequently the Drops occur, what action unlocks the Drop, and how many channels they are available on.
Time-based Drops are unlocked by watching any participating channel for the amount of time set by the game developer to earn a reward. Once you complete the time requirement, you will be able to claim the reward. You can only gain progress toward a reward on one channel at a time. Some Drops rewards will require you to earn and claim a previous reward before you are able to earn progress toward that reward. You can check on the progress you have earned towards any reward by going to your Drops Inventory page. From this page you will also be able to claim any time-based Drops rewards that you did not claim while watching the channel.
You can see when a Drops campaign is available on a channel on the Browse category and channel pages by looking for the drops-enabled tag. You can also filter by the Drops enabled tag when looking when viewing a category.
Navigate to a channel with Drops enabled. A Drops callout will be displayed at the top of chat that includes information about the Drops campaign. For example, a mission-based Drop will tell you the mission that the streamer has to achieve and how long you will have to claim the reward on the stream. A time-based Drop will tell you how long to watch in order to earn a reward.
To earn a Drops reward, you will need to be logged into Twitch. To be eligible to receive the Drop rewards in-game, you will need to have your game account linked to your Twitch account. If an account connection is required, you will see a message asking you to connect your account after you have claimed the Drop. From the game developer’s account connection page, log into your game account, then into your Twitch account to link the accounts together.
You can still claim rewards and connect your account afterwards.
Claiming a Drop for mission-based Drops
When watching a participating channel make sure to watch for your favorite streamer to complete their mission for the opportunity to claim in-game loot. The claim button will appear at the top of chat and you will have a limited amount of time to claim the Drop reward.
Claiming a Drop for time-based Drops
When watching a participating channel you will earn progress towards a Drop. You can check your progress at any time by checking your profile menu looking under the Drops menu item.
Remember, you can only earn progress towards a time-based Drop on one participating channel at a time. You can also check your progress towards Drops within a campaign anytime by viewing the Drops Inventory. When you have reached 100% progress for the active Drop within a campaign, you will receive a claim notification at the bottom of chat. For time-based Drops, if you are unable to claim the Drop in time, you will be able to claim it from the inventory page until the Drops campaign ends.
Where to view your rewards and upcoming campaigns
The Drops inventory page can be accessed at any time. From here, you can view the Drops that you have earned, your progress towards any active time-based Drops and to connect your Twitch account to the participating game developer’s account if you have not already. For time-based Drops you may notice that some rewards are locked and you cannot earn progress towards them until you have earned and claimed previous rewards. Upon claiming the prerequisite Drops, these Drop rewards will unlock.
To learn more information about the rewards and the requirements to earn those rewards, you can view the All campaigns tab. This page will show you all active campaigns and upcoming campaigns that you may want to participate in and complete. Each campaign entry will display the dates the Drops are active, what game they are for, and how to earn each reward.

New year? New dragons. Soaring in for Preseason 2022, two new elemental drakes are landing on the Rift.
True to her name, the Hextech Drake draws her power from hextech augmentations, creating Hex-gates that allow players to warp across the Rift. Slaying the Hextech Drake will grant your team bonus attack speed and ability haste.
Capturing the Hextech Soul will bestow a chain lightning effect on players’ basic attacks and abilities that will slow any zapped enemies. Lightning from those attacks can also chain up to four nearby enemies, repeating the effect.
Objective Bounties is a new mechanic that activates when a team falls sufficiently behind their opponents. Bounties grant losing teams more strategic options for a comeback, allowing teams to turn the match around by taking objectives marked with bounties.
The catch? Once activated, objectives are highlighted on the minimap for both teams, so there’s a chance for the team ahead to stay, well, ahead by denying the losing team their bounty. However, if the team that’s behind successfully takes a highlighted objective, every member of their team will receive additional gold.
A number of Mythic and Legendary items are coming to the Item Shop during Preseason 2022. Take a look through each item and see what you may be saving up for the next time you’re on the Rift.
We’re hoping that these new additions will give players more itemization options and we’ll be keeping our eyes and ears open for your feedback!
CROWN OF THE SHATTERED QUEEN
New Mythic item for mages that grants users ability power, health, mana, and ability haste. Crown of the Shattered Queen also has a unique passive effect that applies Safeguard which reduces incoming champion damage for a period of time after the holder takes damage. While Safeguarded, the holder also gains bonus ability power.
Mythic Passive: Grants all other Legendary items bonus movement speed and health.
New Mythic item for tanks that grants health, ability haste, armor, and magic resist. Evenshroud’s unique passive applies Repent on immobilized enemy champions and all nearby enemies, increasing the damage they take for a short period of time.
Mythic Passive: Grants all other Legendary items bonus armor and magic resistance.
New Legendary item for mages that grants holders ability power and health. Shadowflame’s unique passive grants additional damage based on bonus magic penetration, based on the target’s current health. Holders can also deal the maximum damage if the target was recently affected by shields.
New Legendary item for assassins that grants holders attack damage, lethality, and ability haste. Axiom Arc’s unique passive refunds a percentage of the holder’s ultimate’s cooldown if an enemy champion dies within a period of having damaged the holder.
New Legendary item for tanks that grants holders health, mana, and ability haste. Winter’s Approach’s unique passive gives the holder bonus mana when they strike a target with an ability or basic attack and consume a charge. When the maximum bonus mana is reached, this item transforms into Fimbulwinter.
Fimbulwinter is the transformed version of Winter’s Approach. Immobilizing an enemy champion (or slowing a melee champion) consumes a percentage of the holder’s current mana and grants a shield, absorbing damage. The shield is increased if more than one enemy is nearby.
A few keystones are being reworked for Preseason 2022.
Lethal Tempo now gives attack speed for a certain duration when the champion is striking at least one enemy champion with each attack. This effect will stack and, when capped, give additional attack range and attack speed.
When holding Glacial Augment, Immobilizing an enemy champion will cause three glacial rays to emanate from them to you and other nearby champions, creating frozen zones for a few seconds that will slow enemies and reduce their damage against your allies (not including yourself).
Prototype: Omnistone’s replacement, First Strike grants gold and causes your attacks or abilities to deal extra damage against champions when the player damages an enemy before taking damage themselves.

Hearthstone: Mercenaries, whats is coming new to game? See information bellow.
It’s been three weeks since we first released Mercenaries and we’re delighted to see our community hunt down bosses, make themselves cozy in the Village, and chase glory in the Fighting Pits. We’re excited to share some numbers with you, some insights into recent changes, some of our upcoming plans, and a few changes we’re making over the coming months to improve the player experience.
Mercenaries Launch Celebration
When we were building Mercenaries, we were looking to make a mode that delivered different gameplay experiences than Standard, Battlegrounds, and our other modes. Our goal was to figure out how to build a great collection RPG, with deep, strategic combat that you can pick up and play even for bite-sized play sessions. To us, the heart of Mercenaries is collecting Mercenaries, powering them up, and engaging in strategic combat with your foes – be they PvE or PvP.
We’re grateful for the millions of you who are playing Mercenaries. So far, you’ve totaled over one billion minutes of combat time and over 100 million combined Bounties (and that number’s excluding Heroic Air Elemental). As a big “thank you” to everyone for embracing this mode and making it so popular, we’re giving everyone 5 free Mercenaries packs! If you played Mercenaries in the 21.4 patch cycle, we’ll drop your appreciation gift into your collection on November 9. (If you’re a new player, it’s not too late to join in the fun! Complete the Mercenaries tutorial and introductory missions for a total of 8 free Mercenaries packs to start your journey now.)
This is the first of many content drops we’ve planned for Mercenaries, and we’re excited to see how all of you hunt down these bounties and utilize these new Mercs in your Parties!
What We’ve Done & Changes to Come
Over the first few weeks, our team has been fixing bugs and tuning systems guided in part by your feedback. We’ve already made some immediate changes and have several larger challenges that the team is focused on tackling. We’re looking to improve the mode with content releases, balance patches, quality of life improvements (e.g., making it so that many daily and weekly Rewards Track quests will be completable in Mercenaries), system improvements in the Village, and more clarity in product descriptions and functionality. We’ll continue to look at both the data and your feedback as we improve and polish the Mercenaries experience.
We’ve loved the outpour of excitement around the Village artwork and the fantasy it evokes. That said, there are areas of the Village that we think have room for improvement:
Task Board: Early on, we heard your desire for more Tasks, so we increased the Task Board daily refresh to refill all open daily slots, instead of only two. That said, we also know there are things we can improve on from here. For instance, we think Toki is doing her job well, but that her visits could be more interesting. We’re also exploring more ways to give players Tasks.
Buildings: We launched the Village with future expansion in mind, but we want to make sure we add systems and upgrades that the community is excited about. Our first addition is something we’ve heard a lot of desire for: alternative ways to level up your Mercenaries. We’re excited to announce the Training Hall will be coming in a future patch, to let your Mercs passively gain XP throughout the day. We’ll have more details on the Training Hall closer to when it launches. In the meantime, we’d love to hear from you about other buildings or systems you want to see added into Mercenaries.
The Fighting Pit
We’ve been following along with the constantly evolving meta for PvP and have many people on our team playing along with you. It’s been awesome to see the community enjoying PvP, and we want to continue to deliver on that skill-testing, mental game that it provides.
We saw your feedback on queue times and AI, and we made some adjustments to matchmaking parameters so that players, on average, would have shorter queue times and face fewer AI opponents. We saw players engaging in exploits that detracted from the Fighting Pit experience, and we made a couple changes to that system. After seeing your response, we adjusted our initial fix so that you now only need to defeat one enemy Mercenary for the game to count as a win. We’ll continue to monitor this and work to find that sweet spot that discourages behavior that ruins the mode for everyone, while also still ensuring that our core player base is properly rewarded.
Finally, we wanted to let you know that the first Mercenaries season will end at the same time as the November ranked ladder season. We wanted to give players more time in the first season to learn the ropes and make up for the mid-month launch. After this first season, Mercenaries seasons will reset every month, like the ranked ladder season.
The Travel Point
You’re all excellent Bounty hunters, and we see a lot of players having fun with PvE! We’ve noticed that most Bounties are the appropriate difficulty for Parties at the map’s suggested level. However, we also noticed that some bosses are a bit too tough—we’re looking at you, Heroic Snowclaw—and we’re working to get these re-balanced in a future update.
Heroic Bounties are an integral part of Mercenaries–they give a breadth of Mercenaries an opportunity to shine, and are an exciting challenge, especially for players who prefer to focus on the PVE aspects of the mode. We’ll continue to invest in late-game content by adding additional challenging Bounties as part of our regular content updates.
Pacing and rewards are things we want to continue to address. Currently, we’re working on another adjustment to how the Mysterious Stranger works, which will be included in a future patch. We’re also considering holistically re-assessing Normal and Heroic Bounty rewards. On both fronts, we’re testing solutions with player interests in mind, and will have changes to share soon.
Building Your Collection
We’ve heard feedback about how the pack system and the experience of collecting could be improved. We’re making some short-term fixes here, but we’re also taking a look at the system as a whole to make sure it’s delivering the experience we want for you. Here are some of the things we’re considering:
Getting you what you want: One of the biggest challenges in Mercenaries has been getting the players the things they really want, in an appropriate way. We like that Bounty Boss rewards provide direction to earning specific coins, and we think that system is working well.
